Email signature dimensions and file size
Treat a signature as a small contact block, not a promotional attachment. A narrow layout is easier to read in replies and on phones.
A practical starting point
- Aim for a content width around 320–480 pixels. Use roughly 12–16 pixel body text and keep the most useful details near the top.
- A headshot displayed at 64 pixels can use a 128-pixel source for sharper high-density screens. InboxSig resizes uploads to at most 300 pixels and limits each to 150 KB.
Keep delivery lightweight
- InboxSig HTML output stays below 10 KB. Aim for much smaller image files than the upload ceiling when possible; remote images still take time to fetch.
- Avoid wide banners and image-only signatures. Recipients can block images, so names and contact details should remain real text.
